Taliban forces tried to target an army outpost in the Shawal area of Nad Ali District, but the attacker's explosive-laden vehicle detonated before reaching the post, killing five soldiers and wounding two others. A child and an elderly man were also killed in the premature explosion. The vehicle-borne improvised explosive device exploded before reaching its intended target, causing civilian casualties.
