On July 24, 2014, armed militants associated with the Taliban targeted three buses in the village of Badgah, located approximately 25 kilometers east of Firozkoh, the provincial capital of Ghor. The militants boarded buses en route to Kabul and immediately began segregating Hazara passengers. They identified and separated 15 Hazaras, including a newlywed couple, and released the buses and other non-Hazara passengers. The assailants forced the captives into a line along the roadside, subjecting them to severe torture and inhumane treatment. Tragically, all fourteen victims were brutally killed by gunshots. Most of the victims were from the Lal-wa-Sarjangal district.
