On November 8, 2020, three rockets originating from an unidentified location struck a residential area in Nawabad, a densely populated suburb of Ghazni. The incident resulted in the deaths of at least 7 civilians and injuries to 8 others. The Hazara community predominantly inhabits Nawabad. Local officials have alleged that the Taliban were deliberately targeting civilian areas.
